Matt joined in March 2024 and comes to GS2 as a Practice Manager, specialising in interim roles within the Infrastructure and Construction sector.
With a background in contract and interim recruitment, Matt joins us with over a decades worth of experience specifically in the Infrastructure and Construction market. Matt brings with him not only a wealth of knowledge and experience but a passion for Sustainability and our Environment, which is apparent when you speak to him.
Matt is a massive music fan; he collects it, he produces it and can even be found behind the decks Djing in his spare time or practising chords, as he is learning the Piano. Matt has two little girls, is a 'husband to be' and likes to spend his evenings walking or running with his dog Jessie.

Specialising in river embankment restoration projects, our client is committed to promoting biodiversity, preventing erosion, and creating sustainable ecosystems. What we need: We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Manager to oversee river embankment restoration works across the West Midlands region. This is a fantastic opportunity to take a leadership role in impactful environmental conservation projects. What you will do:Leading and managing river embankment restoration projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Implementing and maintaining strict health and safety protocols on-site, including conducting risk assessments, ensuring compliance with regulations, and promoting a culture of safety among all team members.Coordinating resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to efficiently execute project plans and meet project objectives.Establishing and maintaining effective communication channels with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery and client satisfaction.Overseeing site activities, conducting regular inspections, and implementing quality control measures to ensure workmanship meets or exceeds expectations.Providing leadership, guidance, and support to on-site staff, fostering a collaborative and positive working environment.Managing project documentation and reporting, including progress updates, site records, and relevant documentation.
