One of the most critical but often underestimated challenges for CSOs is stakeholder alignment. In the world of sustainability, stakeholders are numerous and diverse - from investors and customers right through to employees and local communities. And each group has its own set of expectations, values and priorities, making alignment a delicate balancing act.
For CSOs, this means constantly juggling the demands of their different stakeholders while staying true to the sustainability goals of their company. Getting it right takes effective communication, transparency and a deep understanding of each group.

There&rsquo;s a real opportunity to embed sustainability throughout organisations and make it a responsibility shared by everyone. It&rsquo;s not just staying up-to-date with existing regulations either, CSOs must anticipate future changes - constantly keeping an eye on the regulatory landscape and quickly adapting their strategies to match. Dan joins GS2 after spending over six years in his previous role, specifically working within contract and interim where he gained extensive experience in the HSEQ space. Dan brings with him a passion for growth and is joining Naz to create the contract team at GS2.
Growing up Dan gravitated towards the sporting world and had high hopes for a career within the sector; a proffessional footballer, cricketer or a sports coach and physio, but soon realised his drive was for something different. After getting into recruitment he has decided his sporting career is best kept as a passion.
Outside work, Dan loves to play cricket and football, an Arsenal supporter (if anyone asks!), and he regularly playing for his local clubs. He also regularly raises money towards University&nbsp;College London Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, a charity close to his heart.&nbsp;
