Matt joined in March 2024 and comes to GS2 as a Practice Manager, specialising in interim roles within the Infrastructure and Construction sector. 

With a background in contract and interim recruitment, Matt joins us with over a decades worth of experience specifically in the Infrastructure and Construction market. Matt brings with him not only a wealth of knowledge and experience but a passion for Sustainability and our Environment, which is apparent when you speak to him. 

Matt is a massive music fan; he collects it, he produces it and can even be found behind the decks Djing in his spare time or practising chords, as he is learning the Piano. Matt has two little girls, is a 'husband to be' and likes to spend his evenings walking or running with his dog Jessie.

Ecologist for Evening/Dusk Bat Surveys About Us:GS2 are proud to be representing a leading environmental consultancy committed to preserving and enhancing biodiversity within our infrastructure projects. As part of the ongoing efforts to assess and protect bat populations, we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Ecologist to join the team for dusk bat surveys. Job Description:As an Ecologist, you will be responsible for conducting bat surveys under bridges and underpasses across the highways network. Your primary focus will be to identify and record bat activity to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and contribute to our conservation efforts. Key Responsibilities:- Conduct evening and dusk bat surveys from 7 PM to midnight.- Utilise bat detectors and other survey equipment to identify bat species and activity.- Record and report findings accurately and promptly.- Collaborate with the project team to ensure survey data is integrated into environmental assessments.- Follow health and safety protocols while working in various outdoor environments. Requirements:- Previous experience in conducting bat surveys is essential.- A bat license is not required but would be considered advantageous.- Strong knowledge of bat ecology and identification.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Excellent observational and recording skills.- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.- Valid driving license and access to a vehicle. Desirable Skills:- Experience with bat survey equipment and software.- Understanding of environmental regulations related to bat conservation.- Strong analytical and report-writing skills. Health & Safety Advisor

What We NeedGS2 are looking for a passionate and proactive Senior Health & Safety Advisor to oversee utilities (gas) installations in the South East (UK). If you excel at effective communication and have a deep commitment to health and safety, we really want to hear from you.
